As the owner of GWT Pest Control, Gavin grew up in rural Northumberland surrounded by wildlife and the countryside. From an early age — around 13 or 14 — he dreamed of becoming a gamekeeper, inspired by a deep appreciation for the outdoors and rural life.
Alongside that passion, he was influenced by his grandparents' strong business acumen and developed a background in financial services, governance and compliance. Today, he feels fortunate to combine those experiences by doing what he enjoys most: talking to people, working outdoors, and applying a practical, professional approach to his work.

OUR STORY
How It All
Began
Having already had an introduction to pest control, it reminded Gavin of when he was about 13 or 14 and his wish to be a gamekeeper, along with his love for the countryside. A change in family circumstances allowed him to purchase Less Pests Ltd in April 2020.
Most people thought he was mad — buying a business just before a pandemic. But pest control services were deemed Key Worker, and the business flew. It has grown entirely through referrals from happy customers, never through advertising.
We recently took over the running of another pest control business covering Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. We now cover from north of Loughborough across to the A1 near Grantham, down to St Neots, then across to the south side of Northampton.
In 2026, we rebranded to GWT Pest Control — named after Gavin's initials — reflecting our commitment to building a trusted, recognisable local pest control brand rooted in the right values.

Growing up in rural Northumberland shaped Gavin's deep appreciation for wildlife and the countryside. The rugged landscapes, wild moorlands, and traditional farmland of England's northernmost county instilled a lifelong passion for conservation and balanced land management.

Gavin
Managing Director
Gavin grew up in rural Northumberland where he studied Agriculture at school and is passionate about all wildlife. He believes in a balanced and sustainable approach to pest control. An ex-RAF serviceman and PRINCE2-qualified project manager with 28 years in Financial Services compliance, he brings discipline and deep countryside knowledge to every job. He purchased Less Pests Ltd in April 2020.

Senior Technician
Ross joined the team as an experienced Pest Control Technician, qualified to RSPH Level 2. He previously worked for 10 years with a Local Authority, gaining a vast array of field experience and knowledge that he brings directly to our clients.

Operations Manager
Sam is Gavin's eldest daughter and a key part of this family-run business. She manages the day-to-day running of operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our customers. From scheduling and coordination to customer support, Sam keeps things on track. Her background spans wellbeing, financial services and law enforcement, bringing a diverse skill set to the team — while Gavin will always be on hand to speak to you directly whenever you need him.
